Ongoing oral contraception
Under the NHS pharmacy contraception service, a pharmacist can supply and manage the oral contraceptive pill — both the combined pill and the progestogen-only ("mini") pill. That includes starting it for the first time and continuing a pill you're already taking. The pharmacist will check your blood pressure and ask about your health to make sure the method is suitable and safe for you, all in our private consultation room.
Emergency contraception
Emergency contraception can prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex or if your usual method has failed. It is most effective the sooner it is taken, so don't wait — speak to us as soon as you can. We can provide the emergency contraceptive pill and advise you on your options, confidentially.
