Book 6–8 weeks before you travel
This matters. Several vaccines need a course of two or three doses spread over weeks, and your body needs time to build immunity before you fly. Leave it late and we may not be able to give you full protection. Travelling sooner than that? Still come in — some cover is almost always better than none, and we'll tell you honestly what's achievable.

Travel Vaccinations
Cover matched to your trip, not a checklist
Two people going to the same country can need completely different vaccines. A fortnight in a resort isn't the same trip as three months backpacking or visiting family in a rural area — the risks are different, so the advice should be too.
We'll go through your itinerary, your medical history and what you've already had, then build a plan around it. You'll get a clear written record of everything you've been given.
- Hepatitis A & B, typhoid, tetanus and diphtheria
- Rabies, Japanese encephalitis and tick-borne encephalitis
- Cholera and meningitis
- Written record and certificates where required

Antimalarials
Malaria prevention
There's no vaccine for malaria, so prevention comes down to two things: not getting bitten, and taking the right tablets. We'll work out which region you're visiting, what resistance looks like there, and which option suits you.
The choice matters more than people think. Some need starting a week before you travel, others a day or two. Some are taken for four weeks after you get home; miss those and the whole course was wasted. We'll make sure you leave knowing exactly when to start and stop.
- Atovaquone/proguanil, doxycycline and mefloquine
- Region-specific advice based on current resistance patterns
- Bite avoidance — nets, repellents and what actually works
- Supplied without a GP prescription

Meningitis ACWY for pilgrims
Saudi Arabia requires proof of the quadrivalent Meningitis ACWY vaccine for every Hajj and Umrah pilgrim as a condition of the visa. It must have been given at least 10 days before you arrive, and the certificate is valid for a set number of years depending on the vaccine used.
We supply the vaccine and the signed certificate your visa application needs. We know the requirements and the timings, and we can vaccinate a whole family in one visit — which is usually a lot easier than trying to get everyone a GP appointment.
- Meningitis ACWY vaccine and signed certificate
- Seasonal flu and other recommended vaccines for pilgrims
- Family and group appointments welcome
- Advice on staying well in crowds and in the heat

Speciality Vaccines
Harder-to-find vaccines
Some vaccines your GP surgery won't stock, either because demand is low or because they're private-only. We can source them.
Rabies
A three-dose course for travel to areas where medical help is hours away, or where you'll be around animals.
Japanese Encephalitis
For longer stays in rural parts of Asia, particularly during the rice-growing season.
Tick-Borne Encephalitis
For hiking, camping and forest work across central and eastern Europe.
Cholera
An oral vaccine for aid workers and travellers heading somewhere with poor sanitation.
Need something not listed here? Call us — if it's available in the UK we can usually order it in within a few days.
